Eddy Current testing (ET) - LEVEL I AND II

TRAINING COURSE

LEVEL I and II

Eddy current testing (ET), used to detect superficial and subsurface defects. Based on analysis of the interaction of the electromagnetic field of the eddy current probes with the electromagnetic field of vortex currents flowing in an object of control.

One of the most significant advantages of manual Eddy current testing in relation to Magnetic (MT) and Penetrant (PT) testing is:

  • much more productive. The speed of manual control, such as on welded joints, may be up to 100 mm/s.
  • testing possibility on a surface with Rz 320 roughness;
  • ability to perform control through a layer of non-magnetic coating up to 2 mm thick.
  • testing of an objects area with limited surface access and complex configuration.

TUV NORD Baltik invites anyone wishing to undergo Eddy current testing (ET) and qualify in one or more industrial and production sectors to one of the qualification levels.
